Order no. 497/660/2024
Order no. 497/660 of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity published in MO no. 268 of 28.03.2024 regarding the establishment of the value of the indexed monthly amount that is granted in the form of nursery vouchers for the first semester of 2024, makes the following clarifications:
Comment: Through this normative act, the value of the monthly amount that is granted in the form of nursery vouchers increases to 640 lei per month. The new value applies starting April 2024 and is also valid for the first 2 months of the second semester of 2024, namely August 2024 and September 2024.
Order no. 410/2.707/2024
Order no. 410/2.707 of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Culture published in MO no. 272 of 29.03.2024 regarding the establishment of the value of the indexed amount that is granted in the form of cultural vouchers for the first semester of 2024, makes the following clarifications:
Comment: By this normative act, the value of the amount granted monthly, respectively occasionally, in the form of cultural vouchers, represents a maximum of 210 lei/month, respectively a maximum of 430 lei/event. The established nominal value also applies for the first 2 months of the second semester of 2024, respectively August 2024 and September 2024.
Emergency ordinance no. 25/2024
Emergency ordinance no. 25/2024 published in MO no. 250 of 22.03.2024 for the modification and completion of some normative acts in the field of foreigners and the border, makes the following clarifications:
Comment: Given the changes brought by this normative act, we would like to state the following:
- The host entities are obliged to inform the territorial institution of the General Inspectorate for Immigration regarding the termination or suspension of the legal relationship with the foreigner, within 5 working days from the date of the occurrence of the event.
- Foreign citizens have the obligation to notify the General Inspectorate for Immigration regarding any changes made in relation to their employment within 3 working days.
- Employers have the obligation to conclude the individual employment contract within 15 working days from the foreigner’s entry into Romania or, as the case may be, from obtaining the new employment permit, in the case of a long-stay visa for employment. Failure to conclude the individual employment contract within 15 working days from the foreigner’s entry into Romania or, as the case may be, from obtaining the new employment permit, in the case of a long-stay visa for employment, is sanctioned with a fine from 5,000 to 10,000 lei. The act does not constitute a contravention if the non-conclusion of the individual employment contract is due to the foreigner’s fault.
- A new special condition is introduced for the issuance of the permanent worker employment permit, respectively the employer must specifically carry out activity in the field of activity for which the employment permit is requested for at least 1 year.
- Foreigners holding long-stay visas or residence permits issued by other Schengen states are allowed to enter the territory of Romania and can stay for a maximum period of 90 days during any 180-day period preceding each day of stay on the territory of Romania, calculated as the cumulative period with those spent on the territories of the other Schengen states, other than the one that issued them the long-stay visa, respectively the residence permit.
