Government Emergency Ordonance no. 69/2023
The Govenrments Emergency Ordinance no. 69 published in the Official Gazette no. 691 from 27.07.2023 for ammending art. 14 from Law no. 165/2018 regarding the granting of value tickets , as well as to establish other application measures for these provisions, makes the following comments:
Article 14 of Law no. 165/2018 regarding the granting of value tickets, with subsequent amendments and additions, is amended and will have the following content:
Art. I: „(1) Starting from August 1st, 2023, the nominal value of a meal ticket cannot exceed the amount of 35 lei.
(2) Starting from January 1st, 2024, the nominal value of a meal ticket cannot exceed the amount of 40 lei.”
Art. II: “(1) Starting from August 1 st, 2023, the nominal value provided for at art. 14 para. (1) from Law no. 165/2018, with subsequent amendments and additions, will apply until December 31st, 2023.
(2) Starting with January 1st, 2024, the nominal value provided for at art. 14 para. (2) from Law no. 165/2018, with subsequent amendments and additions, will also apply for the months of August and September 2024.
(3) Starting from August 1 st, 2023, the Order of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Labor and Social Solidarity no. 1.263/654/2023 regarding the establishment of the indexed nominal value of a meal ticket for the first semester of 2023, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 272 of March 31 st, 2023, is repealed.”
