Law No. 24/15.02.2022 published in the Official Gazette no. 156 of February 16, 2022 amending and supplementing Government Emergency Ordinance no. 158/2005 on leaves and social health insurance allowances, brings the following clarifications:
Comment: Art. 2 is added letter d1), respectively a new type of sick leave and allowance to which the insured are entitled, namely sick leave and allowances for the care of patients with oncological diseases.
A new chapter is introduced: “CHAPTER V1. – Sick leave and allowance for the care of patients
with oncological diseases”.
It is specified that only one insured person who, with the patient’s consent, accompanies the patient to the interventions and treatments prescribed by the specialist doctor, is entitled to sick leave for the care of an oncological patient over the age of 18.
The beneficiary can receive sick leave for a maximum of 45 days within a year for one patient. This type of sick leave is paid at 85% of the calculation base, established according to Art. 10 of GEO 158/2005 and is fully paid from the FNUASS (National Unique Health Insurance Fund).
This Law shall enter into force two months after the date of publication, February 15, 2022, except for the provisions of Article301 para. (4), which shall enter into force one year after the date of publication of this Law in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I.

Order no. 152/153/375/2022 published in the Official Gazette no. 159 of February 17, 2022 for the approval of the template, content, submission and management of the “Statement on the obligations to pay social security contributions and income tax, and the nominal records of insured persons”, brings the following clarifications:
Comment: The template and content of form 112 “Statement on the obligations to pay social security contributions and income tax, and the nominal records of insured persons”, as well as the Annexes no. 1.1 “Employer Annex” and no. 1.2 “Insured Person Annex” are approved.
Among others, certain parameters valid in 2022 have been updated, namely: minimum wage, average wage, working days in the month.
Have been included the code 16 sick leaves – sick leave certificates for some types of burns.
